Microsoft Outlook Setup
This will allow you to setup your email address in Microsoft Outlook.
- Click on Tools and select Account Settings.
- Click on "New"
- Select POP3
- If using Microsoft Outlook 2007+ click on "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" and click Next
- Email service type should be set to Internet Email (POP3)
- On the next screen type in your name, email address, incoming server, outgoing server, username and password.
Name: (enter your name that will appear on outgoing mail)
E-mail: (your email address)
Incoming Mail server (POP): mail.yourdomain i.e. mail.beyondthedesk.com
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain i.e. mail.beyondthedesk.com
Username: (your full email address)
Password: (enter your password you have setup for this email account)
- Next click on More Settings.
- Under the outgoing server tab check the box that says "My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
- Click OK
- Back on the Add New Email Account screen click the test account settings button to test your account.
- Once your email settings are working successfully click Next and your finished.
