Microsoft Outlook Setup

This will allow you to setup your email address in Microsoft Outlook.

  1. Click on Tools and select Account Settings.
  2. Click on "New"
  3. Select POP3
  4. If using Microsoft Outlook 2007+ click on "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" and click Next
  5. Email service type should be set to Internet Email (POP3)
  6. On the next screen type in your name, email address, incoming server, outgoing server, username and password.

    Name: (enter your name that will appear on outgoing mail)
    E-mail: (your email address)
    Incoming Mail server (POP): mail.yourdomain i.e. mail.beyondthedesk.com
    Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain i.e. mail.beyondthedesk.com
    Username: (your full email address)
    Password: (enter your password you have setup for this email account)
     
  7. Next click on More Settings.
  8. Under the outgoing server tab check the box that says "My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
  9. Click OK
  10. Back on the Add New Email Account screen click the test account settings button to test your account.
  11. Once your email settings are working successfully click Next and your finished.
